1. The letter
This is one of the most important tool that the manga uses. The letter is from the future where its contents are based on what happened in the past or in this case the present. The characters have to supposedly follow the advice from the letter and try to do what their future-selves regretted not doing. The letter is extremely pivotal in the story-line so I hope the anime will do the same as well. Also it would be great if they show Kakeru's future letter because it makes the event all the more sad and it reflects how much that they really don't know much about Kakeru as well.
2. Kakeru
In the manga, Kakeru is sort of an isolated person, he doesn't talk about his emotions much and no one really knows what he is thinking. He is the kind of person that smiles on the outside but is depressed in the inside. His dialogue is extremely important as well. There are crucial dialogues throughout the manga that foreshadows why he committed suicide. I hope the anime does justice to his character especially since the story line revolves around him. Throughout the manga, we see some development in his character especially in terms of his personality. He becomes more genuine but still we get to see the sadness underneath him, haunting him. This character development has to be present in this anime if not I will be disappointed.

3. Suwa
Okay, Suwa may be a secondary character but his role is special. Like Naho, he wants to save Kakeru but he himself faces inner turmoil as well. There is this particular segment in the manga where we get to see one of his letters and at the end witnesses him being filled with emotions. I hope the anime shows him because that part really develops his character further, making his role to play in the plot more important. Suwa is not a complicated character but he is one that has a lot of emotions. Like Kakeru, he bottles up his emotions though there are glimpses where when no one is watching he drops his facade. These are the parts that really makes me sympathise with this character.

4. The future
In the manga you will see parts of the future. The future characters not only are a lot more mature but they also have a lot of regrets for not being able to save Kakeru. Furthermore there are a lot of scenes that are crucial to the storyline because there these scenes foreshadow what would happen. They also drop a lot hints on the mystery behind Kakeru's character and why he might have committed suicide. I hope the anime portray this because the future them do play a huge role.

5. Kakeru's mother
In a part of the manga, Kakeru's mother will be mentioned and although we never get to see her she still is very crucial to the plot. Her suicide and mental illness is a large reason behind Kakeru's depression so she has to play an important role in the anime like the manga. Maybe we can see a flashback of his mother and what Kakeru has to go through a daily basis? I think this will bring more depth to his character.
6. Naho
Of course since she is the main main character, it is important for her character to be relatable. Naho is like any normal high school girl where the only difference is that she knows about the future. Hence this creates a lot of burden for her making her sometimes unable to balance this burden with the present. The emotional stress that Naho faces must be visible in the anime. We have to be able to see her struggling with what the letter tells her and what she feels is correct.

7. The rest of the gang
Lastly, we have the rest of the gang; Azusa, Saku and Takako. They may not play a huge role as the rest of the characters but they sometimes act as comic relief or even emotional comfort to the readers. I hope the anime will let them play a bigger role as although we get glimpses of her friends trying to help out Naho and Suwa to "correct the wrong", I feel that it is not really enough? As in, I don't really feel as invested into them as I do with the other characters. There are hints that they know and they are the "behind the scenes" people that Suwa and Naho are not aware of. Hopefully the anime can allow them to have a greater part to play.
